The ETH Augmented Reality Research Hub is excited to announce the kickoff of its first eight projects following Call 1, 2025.
Together, these efforts advance core sensing, modeling, and generative technologies for reliable and interactive AR systems. The projects address online calibration for XR headsets, facial-expression tracking on glasses, and neural simulation of soft-tissue and granular materials. They also develop semantic scene representations for robotics, generative 3D reconstruction from sparse images, controllable scene synthesis, improved uncertainty modeling in motion prediction, and self-supervised learning of human interaction from video.
